visiting the marine nature reserve of Skomer island.

Our Campsite

 Our Campsite

Set in just over an acre, we have created a small site with 6 individual level pitches carved into the gently sloping land.

Each of our 3 all-weather pitches* (with optional electric hook up and room to park vehicles along side) are spaced along the edges of the site.

Using re-cycled tarmac chippings mixed with top soil and planted with grass, they are suitable for tents (max 6 berth), campervans and trailer tents.

Small motorhomes (max 6m) may be accommodated depending on size.  Sorry, but we do not take caravans.

There are 3 grass pitches suitable for tents only* situated on a grass terrace running along the bottom of the site

(without electric and vehicles must be parked in the adjacent parking area).

The pitches are spaced out with 6m between pitches and are suitable for larger tents, max 8-10 berth tunnel design.

Each pitch has its own fire pit with logs and charcoal available to buy.

The middle of the site (a gentle sloping grassed area) has been left empty to create a feeling of space and and for children to play.

We are especially proud of our hand crafted Shepherd's Huts -  Tawny and  Puffin

Both are fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy camping but with a twist of luxury!

They both have a covered separate kitchen and dining covered area, including a gas hob, fridge and sink with running hot water,

private patio area with a fire pit and garden furniture and views through the trees to the sea below - perfect for star gazing to the Milkyway above.

Tawny sleeps 4 - one kingsize bed with fixed single bunk (over the foot of the double bed) and bench seat which converts to a 4th single.

A private toilet and shower facilities are housed in a shed to the rear of the hut.

Puffin sleeps 4 - one kingsize bed with a double bunk above, accessed by a ladder and ensuite shower room.

Both huts have enough space outside to accommodate a pup tent for older children (max 3-berth).

We also offer a 'wash & dry' laundry service.

Point Farm Campsite is a dog friendly site (although we don't allow dogs to sleep inside the Shepherd's Huts).

*Please check the size of the pitch before booking - each pitch is individually sized and suitable for different sized camping units.

 Staying with us

to Staying with us

"Lovely campsite with plenty of space per pitch which allowed for children's ball games. Fantastic facilities which were well maintained and clean. Great provision of recycling facilities. A great place to star gaze at night and spot wildlife here and there such as voles, bats, toads. The option of a fire pit was a great focus for the evening once the sun had gone down - a lovely touch.
The location is great as it's a very short (5 minute) walk to Dale which is a pretty village with plenty of watersports on offer. Easy access to other beaches also." *****

"One of the best campsites ever, small site with generous pitches, plenty of space in the fridge and freezer, charging points for phone's etc. Great location too." *****

"Great campsite in amazing location, 2 minutes walk from the sea in Dale. Good facilities for those in tents (fridge, kettle, freezer etc..) and great warm showers and clean toilets. We were in a van (there are a couple of van pitches with ehu and a couple of tent pitches). We had a great time. Make sure you book early though as was fully booked for 3 months when we went. Dog friendly. Owners Nia and Fil are helpful and friendly!" *****

We welcome all varieties of tents - bell tents, yurts, tipi's, wigwams - as well as the more modern styles; some wonderful campervans and small motorhomes from vintage VWs to brand new Hymers!

Each pitch is individually sized -

Sorry but we cannot accept towing caravans, campervans or motorhomes larger than 6m or tents bigger than an 8/10 person tunnel.

Comfortably sleeping a family of 4,

our Shepherd's Huts are cosy and warm with electricity, heating, luxury bedding

"We were group of 6 who were visiting Dale to take part on a shark fishing trip. I contacted Nia to book our pitch back in April. I've got to say we throughly enjoyed our stay. On arrival we were grated by Phil, he gave us a briefing on the site to the facilities, explained our pitch location and were out pitch limits were and left us to set up. The facilities are spot on, very clean and roasting hot water from the free showers the toilets were also very clean. Each pitch had a very good firepit/BBQ and for a few quid Phil provided a substantial amount seasoned timber and a bag of kindling. All in all or stay there was perfect and we look forward to booking with them again next year." *****.

"Point Farm Campsite was fantastic and the facilities (mainly showers and toilets) were well maintained. The location is excellent for families. Brilliant hosts! Decent coastal walk path for easy/moderate walk." *****

"We’ve just got back from our second stay at Point Farm (1 week) and it reinforced all the reasons that this is one of our favourite sites anywhere (and we visit many of them).

Most importantly, the site is run by some great people who genuinely care about the experience of those who stay there. Nia and Fil have an eye for detail which makes sure that the site is lovingly maintained and a lot of thought has gone into the set up and facilities on offer.
The site is small and perfectly-formed. The emphasis is on ensuring that everyone has lots of space and privacy. The wash facilities and toilets are top notch and always clean and a fridge and a freezer in a hut with local info and the all-important plug points for charging phones are all really helpful.
I’d definitely encourage anyone to check out Point Farm and you won’t regret a stay there. We’re already planning another stay in a few month’s time!" *****

"As far as campsites go this was the best I've been too! Was met by Fil the campsite owner and was showed around the site, there were fridges and freezers, microwave, kettle in one hut, and then very clean toilets and showers in other huts. The grounds were immaculate, with fire pits in each of the pitches. He even got us firewood. Car park is right next to campsite which was great for unloading and loading. We were a group of 5 that were shark fishing so location couldn't have been any better. Fil would always come down to make sure everything was all good and to see if he could do anything for us. Keep doing what you're doing guys."*****

"Just the most perfect campsite! Best campsite we’ve been too! Stunning location, so peaceful, immaculate, great facilities (fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave, spare tent pegs, hair dryer, leaflets, maps, firewood for the firepit with grill). We had 2 pitches - one for a small camper with EHU and one for a tent. Both flat. Nia and Fil were so welcoming and friendly. Can’t wait to come back!"*****

"What a great campsite, small but perfectly formed! They said they were full when we visited but you wouldn't know it; anywhere else would pack twice as man campers in. The loos and showers were top notch, cleaner than a lot of cheap hotels I've visited with hot water at all times.
A good campsite, but the little touches made it: access to a fridge, kettle and microwave, a small info pack when you arrive, nice fire pit available and so on. The owners are friendly, helpful and seemed to have thought of everything. Pub, restaurant and shop all a five minute walk away in Dale village, what more could you want?
I'm pretty sure this is the best campsite I've stayed on." *****

Dale is a small coastal village located on the Dale Peninsula which forms the northern side of the entrance to Milford Haven estuary in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.   The village is a popular holiday location with its seafront on the beach, providing easy access for water-based activities including sailing, swimming, surfing, kayaking, windsurfing and diving.  The sea wall curves round the front of The Griffin, an award winning pub and restaurant serving delicious seafood and Welsh beer.

A short walk from the village are the beautiful beaches of West Dale, Watwick and Marloes Sands.

With a long boat building and seafaring history Dale is famous for Henry Tudor's landing on his way to the Battle of Bosworth in 1485.

"I had a lovely stay; there is enough distance between sites to give you privacy. The showers/toilets were very clean. I loved the fact there is a fridge/freezer and kettle/microwave you can use. Ideal when you run out of gas. It's at walking distance from the village and on the coastal trail to start your hike. Very quiet and through the trees you have a bit of a view on the bay. I will come back to this place." *****

"Peaceful location, hidden away but only a short walk to the town or down to the beach on the other side. Small scale and friendly; owners very helpful. Handy fridges and other facilities were great. Recommended." *****
